Part 1: Kalterer See Gravel Adventure
This scenic tour in South Tyrol takes gravel biking enthusiasts around the picturesque landscapes of Kaltern and the Montiggler Lakes. The route starts near Kaltern, weaving through blooming apple orchards down to Lake Kaltern (Kalterer See). This well-known lake, surrounded by private access points from various establishments, offers limited public views but remains a popular spot. The journey around the lake is bustling, reflecting its popularity among locals and tourists alike.

Part 2: Montiggl Lakes Gravel Journey
From Lake Kaltern, the route ascends to the Montiggler Lakes, passing through vineyards and the Montiggl Forest. The Large Montiggl Lake, with its inviting public pool, offers a pleasant cycling experience. A coffee break here is a must before proceeding to the smaller Montiggl Lake. This leg of the journey is particularly enjoyable for gravel bikes, bringing a bit of trail excitement. The route then continues through the lower Montiggl Forest towards Girlan, offering a refined gravel biking experience.
